waking_up_kidsEleven years ago my husband and I were introduced to the concept of a morning song while on a European Contiki tour. Yes that’s right we did one of those and loved every minute of it. Every morning they played the same song. This was our cue to WAKE UP and ENJOY THE DAY. 

We both continued this ritual but over the last five years it somehow got lost in our lives, until I saw an Oprah episode with ever so gorgeous Diana Ross and her family. Oprah asked her family - what was it like growing up with a famous mum and all her friends? One of her daughters responded by saying that “she had a great way of creating home and normal” and that she (Diana Ross) was one of the best “waker upper ups in the world”. Her morning routine went something like this:
